BOOKING A SERVICE

• Under no circumstances will we be contractually bound to supply you with services on the basis of any incorrect information.

• If, due to unforeseen circumstances, Sitting Purretty cannot provide the service agreed, we will do our best to arrange for alternative care. However, if this is not possible we will endeavour to give at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Should the client return early during a booking, the agreed fees remain payable. Refunds will be considered at my discretion.

• In the event the client is delayed on return, please inform Sitting Purretty as soon as possible and the sitter will continue with the service until further notice. There will be additional charges for this extra service.

CARE

• Sitty Purretty agrees to visit the clients’ Pets in their home, and will feed the Pets with food agreed. Visits shall be made once or twice per day and charged to the Client.

• The client shall provide the Pets regular food, medication and supplements. If a litter tray is used then adequate supply of litter and cleaning materials and dustbin liners must be provided.

• Should a Pet appear unwell, Sitting Purretty shall assume responsibility for referring any pet in its care to a veterinary surgeon and the owner shall accept liability for any veterinary or associated costs. Sitting Purretty will make every effort to use the Pets own veterinary Practice, however if this is not possible another practice will be used.

• Under no circumstances shall Sitting Purretty be liable in any way whatsoever for the deterioration of any existing/diagnosed condition of any pets in its care. All expenses/ veterinary costs (including costs of prescription drugs or any other medication) are solely the responsibility of the owner.

• Sitting Purretty shall not be liable for the loss or death of any Pet under its care caused by any action other than the direct action of Sitting Purretty.

KEYS

• The Client shall provide Sitting Purretty with one full SPARE SET of keys to the client’s property together with instructions on the operation of any alarm or other security system/s.

• We will collect a spare key at an agreed time/date before the booking. This key will be held by the pet sitter and kept securely with a code attached.

• Keys will be handed back to the client on return with the remaining payment due on return of the keys.

• Client confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Client details will be kept private and will never be used for any purpose other than caring for your pet(s)

ADDITIONAL PURCHASES

• The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client's absence (ie, food, medication, bedding, cat litter etc). In the event of additional items needing to be purchased during the period of the service, the pet sitter will purchase these, retain a receipt and the pet owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items on their return.

INSURANCE

• Sitting Purretty is fully insured, The policy includes public liability insurance, care and loss of key cover. The insurance only covers Sitting Purretty for the duration of the service, and only for services agreed.

• It is the responsibility of the client to ensure the property, its contents and pets are adequately insured throughout the duration of the assignment.

• Job sharing is not covered under our insurance. We cannot be responsible for your pet or home if another service provider enters your property while we are not there.

BOOKINGS/CANCELLATIONS

• Sitting Purretty will make all reasonable efforts to make their visits at regular intervals. The exact timing of visits will be at the discretion of Sitting Purretty.

• Sitting Purretty shall be discreet at all times and shall make every effort to make their visits as quiet and as un-noticeable as possible.

• In the event you stop using our pet sitting service and we hold a key to your property, the key will be returned to you after all outstanding payments have been received.

• Sitting Purretty reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.

• Sitting Purretty will ensure they clean up after your pets but will not be responsible for carpet/ flooring stains created by your pet(s).

• Sitting Purretty will have no liability if it shall be unable to carry out any provision of the contract for any reason beyond its control. A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following: • Strikes, Lock-outs or other industrial action. • Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat or terrorist attack, war or threat or preparation for war. • Fire, explosion, inclement weather, including storms, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disasters. • Inability of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport. • Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks or systems affected as a result of computer hacking or virus. • The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any Government.
